My first generation P14 had bolts instead of pintles. I replaced them with
a pair of clevis pins that Tom Grimes had machined for me. I used hitchpins
to secure them, but had them both come loose at Tahoe, so I replaced the
hitchpins with circular pins and haven't had any more problems. I usually
leave the rudder stock on the boat and remove just the blade.
