Jim and others:

The Night Owl I have cautions STRONGLY against anything but nighttime or low
light level usage. It also cautions against looking at lights with it and
whatnot.. If the tube starts to saturate, it shuts off automatically to prevent
damage.

If I use the unit for more than about 10 minutes, I get a headache. This is not
uncommon.
