Lloyd:

MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY SAILING NEW YEAR TOP YOU!!!

Raising and Lowering the 22' mast on the 19 is no picnic , even with a
helper(two hepers are the minimum in any but calm conditions) the Gin pole
setup from IM($260) may be necessity if you insist on doing it solo( I
didn`t buy it), but that still won`t keep the mast from twisting on the
way down the first or last stages of the action. I got away with it for a
good while but finally came a cropper a couple of weeks ago <GR>.

I`m 74 , 6' x 215# and in good condition but I`v done my last 'solo
upsy/downsy' on the mast<GR>.

If you have any doubts about being able to handling the 19, alone from
launch to retrieval, you might want to consider the 15(lots of used ones
about).

It might help if you told us where you live - may be someone w/a 19/15
near you to help you make a decision.

GL and happy sailing.
