You know how there is something you've always wanted to do and the day
finally arrives and it's the best! Well I did that today. Sparrow is
currently moored at Avila and First Mate Erin and two of her giggle box
friends went out with me today for a sail. It started out rocky as three 15
year old teenagers tried to "help" me rig up. We finally made it without
anyone falling in,,,barely. The weather turned blustery and nippy so they
soon retreated below and I had the cockpit to myself. Oh bliss. I sailed
all over the bay and the experience was beyone words. With the girls below
I felt the stern lift and we heeled over and off we went. That is the first
time I have really felt her sing. I can't wait for the next ride.
Unfortunately I think things will turn a bit cold and unpleasent until
spring so I may have to wait awhile. But I just had to share with all of
you who have been so supportive and helpful as I have gotten to know my new
boat and the joy of sailing.
