West Marine has a polyformed 8' dink that is a joy to behold and is sold by
off dealers for about 300 bucks. There are several in my neighborhood with
home made mast/sails. My experience in building from scratch is that I tend
to overbuild and end up paying twice as much for just a hull.

Please note this is not the tippy dyer dink but a polyformed one they as $399
for. A local dealer on Boat Trader sells them for $ 275.00. If I had not
thrown away all my boat equipment catalogs I could give you page and number.
I threw them away cause they encouraged spending.
