When you swamp the boat it floats at a level with the windows submerged. It
is impossible to bail out (self rescue) you must be towed to shore. The
gunwales are under water. Once beached, you have to bail it by hand (or
pump), including all the water under the cockpit before the winch and
trailer can handle the load. If you attempt to pull it up on the trailer
full of water you will strip the gears of the winch. If you pull it up on
the trailer full of water via a 4wd truck you will collapse the cross
members of the trailer. It is very difficult to get the water out from under
the cockpit with a bucket. The air bags/ flotation reduce the amount of
water in the boat. Keep the hatch door on if you plan to roll it. Don't
believe the brochure.
