Hey all,
Ive been doing some serious investigation of the Walker Bay dinghy since I
intend to buy one.

A couple of interesting finds:

1. There are two different sail kits. One is called the "performance" and
is a straight mast and boomed kit. The other is called the "recreational"
and the mast takes an aft bend at a connector about 3 feet from the top and
is a smaller and boomless sail. Third there is a picture of a third sail
type on their web page showing a performance type mast but using a single
battoned sail (like the p15 sail) having the batton at an up angle starting
about 2 feet from the mast head. I havent found any info on this sail as
the performance kit shows a non battened sail.

2. There are many pictures available on their web page, but hidden. To
get to them click on the camera icon in the left side home frame. It is
unmarked/unlabeled but leads the way to a large collection of marketing
type photos of all sorts of variations and uses of their dinghy--I enjoyed
looking at them, different color configurations, sail configs, row configs,
uses, features, etc. not found on the "regular" part of the web page.
Probably about 45 photos.

3. Per the pictures there seems to be another sub-bundled product called
the "breeze" The hull is identical with the exception that it comes in a
color not seemed to be offered in the regular line up, being royal blue
hull with yellow seats that have purple stripes. It looks really cool
actually and I think i woudl even choose this if it were offered. (my
second choice is the standard white hull with marine blue seats). It shows
the recreational style sail rig with special colors and wording "breeze"
marked on the sail--must be a marketing package designed for kids--hence
the more "toy" like colors and name package but the stuff looks the same as
the regluar hull and regular recreational sail kit.

My best investigation for delivery in colorado finds
Coastalmarineonline.com the lowest price source (they are about $30 less
than west marine per part (hull then sail kit separate so $60 overall) and
$80 less than many other mail order places =$160 overall) and their catalog
has a $20 off of order of $50 or more purchase *and* as if that werent
enough to clinch the deal for them, their lower price also includes the
cost of shipping! whereas the other guys add shipping charges. And
something else that is of interest. Of all the mail order catalogs I
looked at online--they are the only one that indicated the *two* different
types of sail kits (and cheaper too) So I wonder which one the other guys
are peddaling as *the* "sail kit" and at higher prices.

I think I will be getting one of these very soon (after I call the factory
and ask what the deal is with this breeze product and its cool funky colors).
