It may not be wise to go flying around on either the P-15 or P-19 with a big
motor. The keel, especially in the P-19, may have a momentum of its own that
may not always correspond with the momentum of the rest of the boat. This is
because it is not firmly attached to the boat. At a minimum you may
experience a chopped up keel trunk from all the slap and flopping of the
keel and at the worse you may suddenly experience a new large opening in
your boat. I guess it would be o.k. as a powerboat if you removed the keel
and plugged the hole. Why not look at a McGregor?
