Ken Silverman: thanks for your description of centerboard modification. Unfortunately I can't visualize what you have done, and would much appreciate simple sketch of how centerboard is locked down securely and can be raised or lowered from cockpit. Would 5/16 shockcord really hold board down (I mean up) if boat was upside down?
