Frankly, I'd be more suspicious of the shock generated by hitting a
pothole. Incidentally, my "buddies" had a cross drilled hole at the
outside end which dumped excess grease when the piston reached the end
of it's stroke, so it wouldn't be possible for an over-pressure
situation to exist. But, then they never came off either....
