Having just ordered a new P-15 and in the final stages of specifying options
etc I am wondering about whether I should start with a jib or a Genoa. I am
a new sailor, having taken a ASA basic keelboat course so not much
experience to draw upon. I live in the St. Louis area where the winds
during the middle of the summer can be very light, hence my interest in a
genoa. My question is whether it would still be better to start with a jib
and order the genoa later on. I am having my boat equipped with genoa
tracks and cars anyway so I can add the larger sail later on. I'd like to
offer my thanks to Dennis Farrell for his help in my selection . Thanks to
any of you who would care to offer suggestions. Sorry this is so lengthy.
