If it takes pouring "blood, sweat, and tears" into a Potter, before you can be
a real "POOP" [Proud Owner Of Potter, for those who joined late], than it
happened this weekend!! Went below to get something (can't even remember what
now) and cracked my shin on a keel bolt.

After getting back to cockpit to nurse my wounds (were everyone could share in
my expletives), I looked in the cabin and noticed some really big scary
looking bolts up in the v-berth just waiting to tear my ankles open. I started
thinking about the keel trunk and I guess I could wrap a big piece of foam
around it. Is there any better suggestions? What about those v-berth bolts?
What should I cap those off with?

PS- [Disclaimer: the following is entirely tongue-in-cheek] I was a bit
disappointed that only two individuals ever commented on my "mast
raising/carpet wetting" technique. ;-) With this list's propensity for
digression, I was surprised that more people didn't want to explore my "carpet
wetting problem." I guess everyone just figured I would follow Jerry's advice
and get a mast crutch with a roller,... ;-)
