I was wondering if 3/8 might be too thick and more
expensive.. what occured to me some time ago, was
that one could cut a fairly large window in the existing
wooden hatch, and frame in a fairly light sheet of lexan
over a smaller span. The framing might help keep the
lexan from getting scratched so readily when the hatch
is stored inside the cabin, etc..
