The 4hp I am considering is the E/J 4hp 2 stroke with fuel pump installed and
connection for an external fuel tank. It weighs in at 36 lbs versus the 55
lbs for the Nissan 4 stroke 5 hp. I did not consider the Nisssan 5hp 2
stroke because it only has an internal tank. You have to special order with
fuel pump and then they want 100 bucks more than the 5hp 4 stroke.

Like all Potter owner's I do have a tendency towards overkill. It would run
great with a 3.5hp but I sold the 3.5 because it had to be refilled three
times on way to inlet fron a jerry can. I got pulled over and reprimanded by
marine patrol for spilling a spoonfull of gas. That ticked me off. never
again will i buy a motor with only an internal gas tank.

I believe the Nissan 5HP 4 stroke is also a Merc and a Tohatsu.
