I have a copy of "Erik the Red". It is a great example of low cost
cruising. I have a nice collection of material on Junks, Proas and
Polynesian navigation.
For the past month or so I have been trying to fit a Chinese
balanced lugsail to my P-15. I've learned a few things but I am returning
to the factory rig to get some sailing done. The lugsail was
fitted with no modifications to the hull so conversion back is just putting
the cleats back on the mast.
