You can find a variety of present and past U.S. and UK Potters represented
on the Potter Yachters web site <http://potter-yachter.org>. Click on
"Potter History" then explore the "Pictures" and the "Links" to other
Potter web sites, if you are so inclined. See also the WWP web site at
<http://www.fortunecity.com/marina/westindia/515/>.

I recently received photos and brochures of Type A and B UK-built WWPs
owned by Bob Morrison in the UK, but haven't found time to add them to the
web page. The Type A is the original plywood Potter designed and built by
Stanley Smith on the Isle of Wight. All other models, to my knowledge, are
fiberglass except for the Potter AX, produced for a short time in the UK by
Martin Pook.

The first Potters in the UK and the U.S. were gunter rigged. The boats have
evolved separately on both sides of the pond. The earlier ones used
three-sided mainsails, and the newer ones have four-sided mains with a
full-length batten giving it a psuedo-gaff-rigged look. A junk rig was also
offered in the UK, and individuals have tried various rig modifications. My
own boat, the first generation of U.S. Potter, uses either the original
gunter rig or a Sunfish type lateen rig.
