Tom Medin correctly raised a further question on the way the new listserv
handles addresses. Kent's note also addresses the issue.

For original posts, the list works just as it always has. Original posts go
to all members.

IF you're using a Windows (or Mac?) email client -
For replies to an earlier post, messages go to the list if you "Reply to
Author". If you "Reply to all", the message goes to the whole list *twice*.
Kent is right, egroups has modified the message header. When you reply to a
list messages, the reply does *NOT* go to the individual who posted the
message. It goes to the list.

The last thing before you pull the trigger, look at the "To:" address on
your outgoing email. That's your last and primary line of defense against
sending something to other than the desired recipient(s). I've shot myself
in the foot more than once by ignoring
my own advice.

Note that those using other than the Outlook Express/Pegasus/Netscape mail
clients may get different results. If anyone's experience is different than
that implied above, please let me know.

Cheers -- dwf (Potter Mailing List maintainer)
