Re: [WWP] Reminder: RSVP for PYC Delta Ditch Race, Stockton, CA May 6-7

Judy:
I tried calling you around 4 pm but apparently you weren't home. We had about
15 members who renewed after the last newsletter went out. We now have exactly
100
paid members. There are 43 who have not renewed, and the vast majority are
either out-of-area or out-of-state members. I had a feeling they signed up just
for 1 year to get our member packet and burgee. Maurice and Larry Steffen have
not renewed either, but I updated them anyway for 2000. I will contact them
personally.
My recommendation would be to exclude the 43 from the next newsletter. I can
send them a nicely-worded notice of membership cancellation and an invitation to

renew. Anyone who renews would then receive a back-copy of the newsletter.
For the next newsletter, I would like to submit an article announcing the
availability of membership cards. I've had several requests for those cards.
It seems like some yacht clubs offer hospitality to members of trailerable
sailboat clubs like ours....Stockton Yacht Club is one that comes to mind. I
was told by one member that they offer 3 days of free berthing.
Please also count me in for the Salt & Pepper Sail. I can probably take 2
passengers.
