We are varnishing our rudder and I was wondering if I should be putting
any plumber's putty or other water-repellant in the screw and bolt holes
before I reassemble it to prevent water from gaining access to the wood
through these holes??
Also, the kick-up rudder doesn't kick-up very easily. Does anyone have
any suggestions on how to make this move more easily?
