[1. If possible, install engine and transmission oil coolers.

2. Get hard linings for your brakes.

3. Next time you replace a battery, go up a notch in capacity.

4. If not on dash, add engine temperature gauge.]

[1. Extend your trailer tongue so that your van wheels need not get wet. This
will save brake life, and a longer tongue makes a trailer easier to control in
reverse. Downside is that there will be a greater tendency to clip curbs with
your trailer wheels on turns.

2. Make sure bearing buddies are installed in wheel bearings, and lube often in
small amounts. Don't blow the bearing buddies off with too much grease, but
keep them full to keep water out.

3. Carry some enviro-friendly dish detergent. Wet bunk board covers and put a
little detergent on them before retrieving boat. Makes it easier to winch up.

4. Get boat guides to help line boat up on trailer when retrieving in wind or
current.

5. Put non-skid tape on the trailer tongue so you can walk out to the winch
without getting your feet wet or slipping off. Nice on a cold day.]
