My family (me, wife, and 2 little girls) wish to purchase a P-19 for camp-cruising on local reservoirs. Funny how there's such a limited market in the desert. :-) Before I make the 1,000 mile drive to San Fran or Houston (or Kansas?), I thought I'd see if there's anybody within a 500 mile radius of Albuquerque looking to part with a P-19. Safety and reliability are our chief concerns, so I'm hoping to find a boat in good shape and "ready to sail!" I do not want the blue water layup or the galvanized trailer (too much weight). I have a 2007 I just listed on paid site. (Guess I should have checked the Potter forums first). P15 Premium Package as listed on the WWP official website. 1991 West Wight Potter built by International Marine (http://www.westwightpotter.com/potter-19) and a 2004 Venture Trailer (www.venturetrailers.com) which the boat is sitting on This is a great boat for experenced or beginning sailers, especially those looking to move up from a small day sailer to a boat with facilities for overnight usage. Originally designed in 1951 (http://www.westwightpotter.com/company/history.htm), the West Wight Potter design is well known for its great stability and ease of sailing. The wide, flat bottom aft of the boat makes it self righting as well as nearly impossible to capsize, while the V shaped bow forward gives it the same handling characteristics as traditional sailboat designs. A crank down keel keeps the boat's center of gravity low, but can quickly and easily be raised from the cockpit to allow for sailing in shallow waters. This keel design, when combined with a pull up rudder gives the boat a mere 6 inches of draft, makes it possble to safely and easily beach the boat, leaving you free to camp or roam remote places that other sailboats can't ever reach. For additional safety, International Marine's version of this great design has positive bouyancy built into the boat making it unsinkable. My boat is in good shape for a 1991 with no structural damage or other flaws. If you buy it you could be sailing it the same day you pick it up. All electrical systems have been tested and are in working order, and some of them, like the main panel, have even been upgraded from the original equipment. pictures can be sent on request since this site doesn't have a means to post pics. Bought new today a comparably equiped West Wight Potter 19 would cost you over $17500. Even a new 15ft Potter would cost you over $10000 comparably equipped, and unlike the 19ft, the 15ft is only a day sailer. I purchased this boat and the trailer it came with for $6200 in 2002. In total I've spent over $8000 on the boat and various upgrades to it. I'm asking only $5000 for it, which I think is a great deal considering all you get with it. Don't agree? Keep in mind that many used boats get sold with lots of stuff you'll need taken off by the seller for use on their next boat. If you go to a boat store or to International Marine's web pages and price out things like line, pulleys, porta pottie, and some of the other things that are included with this boat you'll see that you're not just getting a fun and reliable boat, you're saving yourself a lot of $ towards the many things you'd need to buy if you purchased a boat with less equipment. In theory I too have narrowed my boat choices to a West Wight Potter 19 but have never actually sailed in one. Potter 15 for sale in Western Idaho - 2001 for $5995
Well maintained, nicely equiped. White hull with blue stripping. White main with jiffy reefing, white jib and blue lapper. Stainless steel bow pulpit, rails and boarding ladder, the kick-up rudder is mahogany. For those windless occaions there is a Honda 2 horse 4-stroke engine. The cockpit is clean with fabric cushions. The mast is new with color coded halyards and includes a boom vang - a kicker is available but not installed. The main sheet control has been been moved to the boom end with a fiddle block but can be changed back to the original configuration if desired. The boat comes with a galvinized Pacific trailer with guides, spare, bearing buddies and a forward mounted electric winch. Among the miscellaneous items are a factory mounted compass, anchor and gel battery along with the usual asortment of bits and pieces that seem to accumulate.

I am selling the brown jib and mainsail from a 1984 WWP 15 I recently purchased. They are fully functional and are in decent shape for the age. A little faded and there have been a few holes in the mainsail which were repaired - looks to me, professionally. I am selling the three battens with the mainsail. Shipping will be extra and I will pack the sails in one box and the long batten must be shipped in a tube separately due to the length. The one and only "Piglet", a sweet little 1978 Potter 15 sailboat, is being offered for sale. This boat has two different sailing rigs, the original standard sloop rig, and a lateen (Sunfish) sailing rig. I originally owned this sailboat and sold it about two years ago to a fine gentleman named Jim McWilliams. Jim passed away last year, and I'm trying to assist his widow in selling Piglet. For it's age the boat is in great condition with only a few cosmetic type dings. It's ready to take to the lake and sail away! The boat has the following: 2002 Honda 2 HP four-stroke motor with very few hours of use. Galvanized swing keel with easy lift duel blocks. Poly kick-up rudder and blade. New halyards. Sloop original main and jib sails in useable condition. Main sail reefing system and boom Vang. New Sunfish type lateen sail with Sunfish mast and spars. This allows the skipper to adjust the keel position, without having to leave the helm The Potter 19 has closed cell foam flotation, fore and aft, and is unsinkable. Her high and dry self-bailing cockpit and great stability achieved by her hard chine are two of the Potter 19’s most impressive attributes. Even in strong winds the Potter 19 does not heel excessively, and with the standard 'Lapper' sail, she becomes one of most responsive boats in her size. The roomy interior features four sleeping berths while at the same time providing seating for up to five persons. Her carefully laid out design utilizes the full length of the boat. With simple rigging, the Potter 19 is one of the quickest boats to rig and launch in her size. Most Potter 19s can be rigged and launched in 45 minutes or less with no special skill or strength. A mast-raising system allows for one-person rigging if desired. SOLD For Sale: 1996 WWP 19 in Minnesota
19’ WWP in good condition. I’ve owned her for 4 years and only used her three times. Her previous owner lived in Texas, but she’s only been sailed in freshwater, and has been in dry storage on her trailer (factory trailer) under her cover (factory Sunbrella cover) for most of her life. Sails are in great shape (red and white). Woodwork needs some TLC and her main hatch cover will need replacing eventually, but all are in working order. The rigging is fine. The forward running lights were broken when I got her (I have them, they just need to be put back on). Other than that, she’s great. She has the factory electrical and water systems (I never used them), as well as the stove, no port-a-potty though. Mast crutch, sail bags, paddles, life jackets, extra tire for the trailer and a 2000 Honda 2hp outboard all included. She is currently in central Minnesota. I’d be happy to send pictures to anyone interested. $5000 I though my family would really get into small boat sailing, but they’ve really taken a liking to canoeing and camping instead.
