I really tried hard to make this work out the way I had hoped and dreamed about. But, the truth is that "Tide and time waits for no man", and in my case I turned 81 on May 7, 2012. I hate to admit it, but the launching and reloading the Potter, by myself, is just more work and trouble than the enjoyment I get sailing by myself. Perhaps if I was able to sail with other Potters I would feel differently. However, that is not likely to happen in the Oklahoma City area in my lifetime. Anyway, I bought "Alf", a 1994 Potter in November, 2011 from a OKC area friend, and sailed it only one time on May 9, 2012. I converted it so it would accept the simple Sunfish lateen sail, as well as the sloop rigging. The sloop sails consist of a blue and white main and jib, as well a blue lapper. The sloop sails look like new, and appear little used. I also have a new blue SS Bimini that I ordered from Internatinal Marine that has never been installed. Itis still in it's shipping wrappings! I'm offering to sell the boat for $3,750 without motor. Additional details and photos can be viewed here: http://www.wwpotterowners.com/ALFPhotos.html It is the best Potter 15 of the three Potter 15s that I have owned! There is over $23,000. invested and I will let it go for $16,750. The boat can be seen at Ewing Street Moorings on the Ship Canal, 624 West Ewing Street, next door to Foss Tugboat Company. I am in search for a WWP 19. I am in Corpus Christi, TX. Willing to travel some distance within reason.
I LOVE MY WEST WIGHT POTTER 19!! BUT... my kids want to waterski, so what can I do? It is a gorgeous blue hulled vessel that, of course, comes with a Pacific galvanized trailer, like new cushions and rigging. All the usual suspects, big jib, storm jib, main all white and spotless. It's got a ridiculous 9.9 Force outboard that started like a top every time last summer. Brand new tiller, jib sheets, mooring lines. It will need a new battery box and I did remove the letter "S" from the name on the starboard side. I never put in the porta potty because we sailed it on tiny Lake Arrowhead. It's so fun, I am jealous of the amazing summer you're going to have. A STEAL at $7200! But enough of my yacking!

Custom teak cockpit grate. Interior plastic grating throughout. Chemical bucket head. New Ida Sailor kick up rudder. Check out the price of a new one equipped like this, then come see this one. She's a beauty. ;-) $15,500

Ocean County, New Jersey. 2001 West Wight Potter 19 in excellent condition for sale. Nissan 4-stroke 5HP motor working perfectly. CDI Roller system. Standard Garges trailer with one spare tire. Garage stored over the winter. Custom mast raising system. $10,500
Silver Spring, Maryland. Immaculate 2000 West Wight Potter 2000 for sale. This pocket cruiser has a cult following and thousands have been produced over the last 50 years. Made by International Marine (http://www.westwightpotter.com/products/potter-19/feat/) all potters have a hard chine (flat bottom) which means they're extremely stable and sail almost flat. Potters have a retractable daggerboard and with the board up the boat draws only 8" making it fully beachable for exploring remote locations. Potters have positive foam flotation, making them unsinkable. It sleeps 4 in 2 quarter berths and a V-berth. The size of boat and trailer let you store it in a typical garage over the winter. At 1350 pounds for the boat and 500 pounds for the trailer you can tow it with almost any vehicle - I use a 2002 Toyota Camry. Inside Potters have a sink and butane stove along with abundant storage. Potters come with port-a-potty and a sweet 5hp, 4-stroke Nissan outboard. Standard Garges trailer is easy to handle and mine is in great shape and comes with two new tires. There's a very active and supportive Potter owner's group (http://www.wwpotterowners.com/) Beyond the standard my boat has an impressive list of features including: * Hunter Green hull and sail trim * Bimini * Roller furling lapper * New Garmin 240 depth/fish finder - installed but never used * Custom mast raising system which lets one person rig the boat is about 50 minutes * New trailer lights * 88 Sq Ft main with cover * Winter stored under cover and cushions stored indoors * Documentation Beyond the boat I'll throw the following in: * 3 unused life jackets (1 still in plastic) * Throwable cushion/flotation device * Oar locks (no oars) * 2 pair of sailing gloves * CoolerAire to reduce cabin temperature * Companionway screen * Orion emergency signal kit (flare gun and handheld) * 2 cans of Cetol to redo teak (couple of years old) * Tarp for winter coverage * if you like I'll throw in material for a couple of projects I started but didn't finish The ONLY thing I'm aware of that the boat needs is new lower seals on the outboard. I haven't used the boat in a year and a half and one of the seals developed a leak while in upright storage. I'll have that repaired or knock $150 off the price if you want to handle it - simple repair. If you're interested in a fun, easy, enjoyable boat, especially as your first sailboat, please come take a look at this one. You'll be impressed with the condition and extras.

I would like to find a P-19 from the mid atlantic area if possible. Good sails and a four srtoke engine would be a definite plus. I have had many good times sailing a Potter 15 and would like to try the larger vessel.

Used 2001 West Wight Potter 19', $6500 This is a great looking boat with a black hull. Primary fuel type: Gas Engine type: Single outboard Fuel capacity (gallons): 1-5 Hull material: Fiberglass Engine make: nissan 5 hp Trailer: Included Overall length: 18'6" Waterliine length: 16'6" Beam: 7'6" Weight of boat: 1350lbs; of trailer: 500lbs: Sail area: main 88 sq.ft., jib 44 sq.ft., genoa 89 sq.ft. Draft: keel up 8", keel down 3'7 2001 Nissan 5hp, 4-stroke, long shaft outboard engine like new. Two new marine batteries, trailer in great shape, new tires including the spare. Main and jib like new condition. Shore power connection, VHF radio and depth founder. Boat is kept indoors. • The Potter 19’s keel design retracts vertically into the hull. The fully retracting keel allows the Potter to be the only fully beachable cruiser her size – great for going ashore in remote areas. • The keel is raised and lowered by using a convenient winch, which is operated from the cockpit. This allows the skipper to adjust the keel position, without having to leave the helm • The Potter 19 has closed cell foam flotation, fore and aft, and is unsinkable. • Her high and dry self-bailing cockpit and great stability achieved by her hard chine are two of the Potter 19’s most impressive attributes. • Even in strong winds the Potter 19 does not heel excessively, and with the standard "Lapper" sail, she becomes one of most responsive boats in her size. • The roomy interior features four sleeping berths while at the same time providing seating for up to five persons. Storage is extensive with compartments under each berth, a forward chain locker, storage under the sink and stove (to port and starboard), and handy seat back bins. Her carefully laid out design utilizes the full length of the boat. • With simple rigging, the Potter 19 is one of the quickest boats to rig and launch in her size. Most Potter 19s can be rigged and launched in 45 or less with no special skill or strength. A mast-raising system allows for one-person rigging if desired. • Over-all length and height on the standard or Pacific trailer allows the Potter 19 to be parked in a typical garage. The West Wight Potter 19 is a terrific boat for those long weekends! Enjoy trailering to new camping and recreational sights with all the comforts of a camper while being able, at a moment’s notice, to launch and sail away. 1994 West Wight Potter 19' sailboat for sale. It has a 2002 5hp nissan outboard with a freshly rebuilt carb. The mast is the new style. Trailer is in good shape with an extending tongue, new tires and bearing buddies. The main sheet, main halyard, mast lift and the furling line are all new from IM. It has a new tiller from IM. It has jib and main in decent shape. It comes with a lapper but it is ripped and is not useable. Cushions are good. has cockpit cushions It will need a mast foot ($55 from IM) The gelcoat is a little oxidized, but I've been slowly polishing it out. It looks like it had a repair around the centerboard on the hull. I had it out about 6 times this summer and never had a drop of water in the boat. The rudder needs relacquered. Asking 4000 but price is negotiable, make me an offer. I'm in Florence, SC.

Here is One of the Nicest West Wight Potters you will ever find for Her age. She is a 1996 15 footer with custom Odyssey Sails, a very Nice Honda 2Hp Outboard Motor sitting on a 1995 Garges Galvanized Trailer with 3 New Tires READY to roll. There is a mast support at the Stern that slips into the gudgeon Holes to hold it up. The boom and whisker pole can be put into the boat for storage. I have set this boat up for OFF SHORE USE. She has all the required Lighting, Running light ,Anchor light, Steaming light ,Cabin light,Voltmeter, back lit Lighted compass, Master Cut-Off Switch all mounted on a nicely varnished board. The cushions are very nice heavy woven fabric, with about 4 inches of foam for support. She has a Fire Extinguisher, Flare Pistol, Hand held Flares and Smoke Flares, Signal Flag. Day Shapes for Steaming and for day anchoring, too. There are 2 type 2 Life jackets so you would need to get the right ones for off shore use. I have no Throwable cushions. They went with the other boat. I think sombody would like to color match all these items. Back to the Boat, She has a traveler, Boom vang,Topping lift, and all halliards at the Mast. There is also a new Battery emergency navigation lights and some spare parts as well. The bright work is nice and I dont think you will find but a couple of nicks overall. It shows like a 2 year old boat and is just as good or better. The trailer also has Buddy Bearings and is in good shape with minor rust on the support angle brackets. No big deal. I am sure you have priced a new one and looked at others, but this ones hard to be beat. She has been in Storage since 1998,Just brought out this season an given a bath and made Sea Ready. This Boat is being offered at $6,500 Delivered anywhere on the west coast. Here is the Link the see this boat.
