I am looking to purchase an older WW Potter. Preferably a 1960's or 70's vintage. A project boat would be 
fine. Wood mast and boom a plus. I understand there even a few wood Potters around (realizing this might 
not be true) if so I would be very interested. 
I am an open boat (dinghy cruiser) guy who has logged thousands of miles in  sleep aboard Mirror Dinghy. 
Might be time to move up radically in size to a proper yacht like a Potter.  As a bit of an open boat nut I 
doubled Cape Horn in 1990 in a fifteen footer on a three month voyage. Now I long for a cuddy cabin for 
those times when I am saked from a great sail or rain is threatening

We sold our Cal 30 a year ago and are now looking for a boat that can be kept in our driveway 
when not on the water- I am especially interested in the Potter 19.  The Potter must be in 
"ready to sail" shape and reasonably priced.  Will consider traveling to pick up, but the 
closer you are to California the better.

The mast section is 3" X 4" and is a bit heavier than WWP 19 masts I have been told.  Boom is 8'. 
Forestay, split backstay, uppers and lowers.  Asking $400. complete or will part out.  

I'm removing the cast dagger board keel from this boat and offer it for sale, asking $100.  
I'm open to offers.  I have heard it is a few inches deeper (taller) than the WWP 19 keel.

Parting out the complete sailing gear on my old HMS 18 (WWP 19 precursor)in Oregon.  The aluminum mast is 
22' long and 3" by 4" in section.  There are two lowers and two uppers as well as the forestay and 
split backstay.  The aluminum boom is eight feet long.  This includes standing rigging and turnbuckles.  
The mast needs polishing up a bit but both mast and boom are sound.  The old main measured 19' 
on the luff and 7'5" on the foot.  Please call or email for information.

Used Tillermast Auto Pilot and 8 page instruction book.  Unit works in one direction only in normal installation mode.

This boat is hull #6 and whereas I've been debating turning it into a nice outbaord mini trawler, others
 whose opinions I respect have expressed some concern for history.  In deference to those folks and due to a 
long "honey do" list I offer it for sale.  It needs a lot of cosmetic work but the basic hull, deck, rigging, 
centerboard, and interior are a sound base.  The trailer is heavy duty, needs some work and paint but is sound.

I just wanted to add my 2 cents on this boat.  Mine I believe is possibly the cleanest in existence today.  
It has a full custom dodger rebuilt 7hp Vir engine and 6 sails from a spinnaker to a 30% storm jib.  It also 
has a self steering wind vane.  Rumor has it that this boat has been to Hawaii and back.  From the extensive 
amount of gear on Board I’m sure there is more to this than just rumor. I don’t know how strong the wind was 
but last weekend I had it pegged at 35 degrees with a full main and 110 jib.  It was tracking perfectly but 
could only get 5.1 knots out of it.  I’m currently selling this boat and moving to a larger one.  If anyone 
has any questions please let me know.  I have had this boat out in every type of condition and have always 
felt safe.

The sail has heavy duty brass hanks, step-up zig-zag stitching, orange visibility patches on both sides

The sail has never been flown.

For Sale (Orange County, California):
2003 Potter 19.  It has the 2003 premium package which is the same as the current one except my boat has a Honda outboard.  
To see the inventory go to the International Marines website and click on P-19 packages.   This package also includes the 
Baja trailer.  In addition to all of these extras, my boat has an additional working jib, marine radio, spare tire for 
trailer, and trailer motor mount.  Everything is working condition.  The boat is all ready for the Bay area, the Sea of Cortez 
or Florida.

I am a member of the Potter yachters club.  I am, however, inactive, as I have health issues that preclude me sailing.  
Unfortunately my boat has been sitting unused in the water, tied up to a float, behind my hoseboat in Sausalito.  It has 
been virtually untouched for nearly two years.  It was purchased July 2003.  The full price including all accessories 
was $10,238.40 (including $500.00 freight).  It needs tender loving care, some varnish, and a good sprucing up.  It is the

SOLD 1994 Potter 19'

Well, unfortunately I need to sell my Potter.  It was little used when I bought it and kept on a trailer or in fresh water.  
I have moored and sailed it in Puget Sound for one year and the bottom is still very clean.  I have recently refinished the 
brightwork, added some teak handrails, had the engine serviced and purchased a companionway cover.  The boat is in good 
condition and has all of the usual amenities that one sees listed (stove, porta-potti, 3 foresails, cushions, boarding ladder, 
am-fm/tape, dry-deck), and lots of extras (factory cover, solar panel, shore power), plus a few minor modifications (plexi-glass 
entry way, lines-run-aft, jib downhaul, backstay, lazy jacks, 2004 bottom painted, etc.). I have some recent pictures and will

These are the sails that were on my 1976 HMS 18 when I purchased her last May. I am unsure of the age. Condition wise,

the sails are small and easy to handle.  
The boat package includes 6 ft. oars & Perko bronze oar locks(2005), spare daggerboard, lifejacket,

The boat comes with a spare daggerboard  built by Tosh Custom boatwork.
The bailer was recently replaced with a new one (The Sunfish and Puffer share the same bailer and rudder head).
I have all the paperwork for the boat, title, and original owner documentation.
The boat has been well maintained, stored under cover, hull cleaned and waxed. The sails were inspected 
by a Houston sailmaker in 2005 and the main set up reefing, the jib is set up with a downhaul.
Trailer- 2005- like new, low use (est. 400 miles) galvanized E-Z Loader, with spare tire, and winch. It 
has a winch and a small mast support. It makes launching and retrieval easy and safe. The boat and trailer 
are a good fit.

SOLD 1984 Potter 15 w/ trailer and 2hp Nissan...used 10X

This boat was used only 10 times (in fresh water) since purchased by the original owner. Comes with 2H.P. Suzuki with 
very low time, original trailer with tilt mechanism. Everything in very good condition except for minor rust on trailer.
 Rigged to sail with two or three sails (has a bow sprit so can be rigged with two jibs), mainsail, self-tending jib 
with jib pole, and genoa. Has all running lights with fabric interior cushions.  Rigged for one man sailing with genoa 
and jib downhaul from the cockpit.  The boat is all white and still has a high gloss as the boat was kept under cover 
all these years.  The interior cushions and sails are in wonderful condition.  I removed all teak pieces in order to 
sand and oil over the winter. However, we just went temporarily insane and bought a 150 year old farmhouse.  This 
equates to too many toys and not enough room. I towed the boat from New Jersey to our home in 
State College Pennsylvania...towed very nicely.  The boat is in storage !
 in State College, PA.  We will let it go for $2,500 now...the price goes up in the spring.

1990 Compac 16.2

This boat has a fixed keel (no moving parts to break), a draft of only 18 inches, a cabin with 2 berths (8ft) 
with cushions, and a 6ft 11inch cockpit! Please note that this is a Com-Pac 16/2, the 2 refers to an important 
design change which included the adding of a bow sprit, increasing the size of the jib to improve balance and 
performance, the addition of genoa tracks, and a highly finished cabin. Most Com-Pac 16's before 1990 do 
not have these modifications!

West Wight Potter 14 Hull # 237

# 237 is in good shape with newer sails (blue and white) with hull #
and Potter logo. She has a 6 hp chrysler OB 

and a Dilly galvanized trailer with newer tires and never used spare.
She was an original Gunter rig but I converted 

her to a single haul mast for mainsail, jib rig is as original. She is
in sail it today shape and very solid. She 

lives in Lakeport, Kalyfornya (renamed state under current actor, oops,
I meant Governor). She draws a crowd out 

on Clearlake every time I take her out. People around here love her
hard chine look. When I tell them about the 

real sailors among you who sail out to the Farralons and even to
further points of blue water they are amazed! 

My father in-law owned this boat for a long time and I offered to
refinish it for him if he would let me use it. 

I spent so much time and money on it I guilted him into giving it to me
(really I planned that all along, 

duplicious, aren't I). Now I am to ill for sailing and would like it to
find a good home that knows what she is 

and will sail her. I will accept any reasonable offer, or even trade

P-19 "Gaviota", Hull No. 204 (1984 vintage) on 1999 galvanized Garges Baja trailer, main w/2 deep "jiffy" reefs,
cruising spinnaker, monster genoa (rarely used), working jib and storm jib, two anchors, w/chain & nylon rode,
nice compass, flags for Canada and Mexico, small solar panel and battery for lights & 12volt house supply. 
1980's vintage super smooth/quiet/reliable Evinrude 6hp (ugly but lovely), one 6 gallon and one 3 gallon fuel 
tank, arranged with a shelf at aft end of cockpit. The working rudder is a single-piece blade, just shallower than 
the centerboard and very effective. Some minor amenities in the cabin (lights, sink, hand pump, portable stove, 
porta potti, book racks, cargo nets etc) but (compared to many) she's a very simple cruiser. Was a fresh-water 
California boat until I bought her 4 years ago. Has made the trip from Seattle to Loreto and LaPaz (Baja California) 
twice without incident, on the road or under way, including some fairly st iff weather.
