I'm #439 and have had no problems not self-caused. If you look at the
position of the glassed-in beams in the boat, I think you'll see that the
seemingly-too-short bunks actually support the whole thing pretty well.
I've trailed this rig somwhere on the far side of 25,000 miles. No
cracks, no observable strain.
