I have a P-15 and I would like to add a system of raising and lowering the
rudder from the cockpit. The lake I sail is very shallow. I have to launch
with the rudder fully retracted. Also, has anyone a better idea on stowing
the main inside the cabin? I flake the sail as best I can, then bungee to
the boom. I have no other sailboats (of any make) to compare with. Thanks
for the great bulletin board for info.

IMHO: a 3/8" aluminum rod attached to the lower rudder and led through a SS
eye screw at the top of the rudder is the best bet. Lines tend to get caught
on the swivel point of rudder and also to get sucked into prop at most awkward
times. A rod can be used to push the lower rudder down or pull it up... I have
installed a fiberglass one on my P!9 rudder to pull it up or push it down...
