Although it's not exactly a right triangle, the method to calculate the area
of a right triangle is 1/2 x base x height or by your measurements about 62
SF. I would guess that it is the standard jib which is 52 SF

Having bought a used boat, which supposedly came with a genoa, I'm not
exactly sure that's the jib I got.
It measures approx 14.5 x 8.5, or about 123 SF. Can someone tell me which
jib this is?
