I researched using electric trolling motors on our P19 just prior to
settling on a Honda 9.9 HP four cycle outboard. I was looking at the Minn
Kota 42 pound thrust, "EM42" model that is designed to mount onto an
outboard. I was contemplating mounting 4 (each) of the units directly to
the bottom of the hull, giving me a total of 168 lbs of thrust or 11.2 HP
total (per Minn Kota). After looking at all of the systems that I would
need to make it function reliably and efficiently; (i.e. batteries, solar
panels, shore power charging system, etc.) the total estimated cost came in
around $8,000 for materials, using my own labor to install. It ultimately
cost me around $3500.00 to configure our P19 for a center mounted Honda 9.9
HP 4 cycle gas outboard. There is a company out there (don't remember the
name), that takes Compac sailboats ( 19 ft and 25 ft I believe) and
modifies them for electric motors. They install the batteries in the keel
cavity instead of the concrete that Compac uses in the stock boats.

Isn't trolling continuous use?
