Some thoughts:
Yesterday I was out in light winds just enjoying the day. Nice fall
colors and just a beautiful day for sailing. Then it hit me, I had never
tried to sail with just the main. I have sailed with just the jib, big
mistake. She won't point at all. Since I installed a jib down haul it
was easy to give it a try. The boat handles great. It made for a lot
easier boat single handing at the dock. I was able to sail up to the
dock and just step off and tie her up.
Give it a try and I am sure you will learn something about your boat you
didn't know.
