I think I have a 1/4" jib halyard and a 5/16" main. If I were to replace
them (getting to be about that time) I'd personally go with a 1/4"
low-stretch (Stayset X or equivalent). It would still be overkill in the
strength department, but anything smaller is hard to hold.
