Web Gang:

I left this list when I was (rightly) pointed out to me that my notes
had become too heated, too personal. I was letting severe issues in my
personal life intrude into my commentary and further, I was pretty thin
skinned. As I view these exchanges here recently (including bringing my
name into it), I can only shake my head.

I don't think anything Bruce said was meant to be taken other than what
it was: light spirited writ.

The notes that have followed have taken on more biting and personal
tones. If this is what the list has come to, I will not return. I long
for the days where we all could engage in witty banter, discussing
sailing as well as other topics that drifted away from sailing at
times. We always returned to sailing, and always the better for it.

Now, if a topic deviates more than a few notes, there is a harsh
outcry.. This is totally ridiculous.

People, GROW UP. Life is too short to be dealing with crap like this.

And hey, as for my name being mentioned, I make no apologies for any
stances I've taken on sailing issues as well as company issues in the
past. I've done what I had to do, in the best interests of my group and
related. When things got personal and I was shown that, I did the right
thing and STEPPED AWAY for awhile. Perhaps some of you could learn a
lesson from the paths I trod this year.

I will not respond again to this mess. If someone wants to reply, send
it to me privately and keep it off the mainstream. GROW UP.
