HI S.F., There was a article in The Potter Newsletter a couple of years ago
about a weighted rudder. It says to cut a 4.5 inch hole in the blade, 3 inches
from the bottom then screw in 4 brass wood screws inside the hole. This will
hold the lead in place. Then clamp a piece of sheet metal to the bottom side
of thrudder. They say to use about 10 pounds of lead. Melt lead outside and
don't breathe the fumes. After the
lead has cooled , finish off with epoxy and sand. Jerry
