It's in the Overton's catalog, called the Flush Mounted Pop-Up Cleat. P/N
26030 for the 6" model @ $56.99 and P/N 26031 for the 8" model @ $59.99.
Call 800-334-6541 to order. Mounts with 4 screws and has a below-deck
plastic molded cup to catch any leaks. Really love it.

One was centered on the deck between the chair plate and the cabin and the
other was just next to the anchor locker vent. They were black plastic and
stuck up about an inch. Overkill for the furler line.

Good points. My fractional rig didn't come with a backstay, and eventually
I want to add sails that go all the way to the top of the mast. I agree
that a bulb could be a drag in really light air, but the added stability in
30+ kt breeze is the driver for the idea.

Having some treps about cockpit seat hatches. Need to access the storage
underneath and dislike fumbling around towards the stern from the cockpit
while underway (usually sail alone).
