Geoff, "Snow" ??? What be "snow" ??? Is that kinda like the
stuff you get when chopping ice in the blender for Margaritas ???
If it's any consolation, the water in our pool (75 degrees) is now
too cold to swim anymore and only Canadian visitors are still
swimming amongst the ice burgs out in the Gulf of Mexico...

Nice venue. We like the whole Osprey/Nokomis/Venice area to
the south of Sarasota. In fact, we have been looking at condo
"open houses" down on Venice Beach for the last couple of
months (mowing grass and cleaning pool is getting old...).

Biggest downside is that the Venice outlet looks to be a handful
for a Potter. The outlet is < 100 yards wide, very busy and the
only outlet for 20+ miles in either direction. Have seen much
bigger boats then Potters come to a stand still when the tide is
running full force on a nice day. Hate to think what it would be
like under adverse conditions. Guess timing would be everything.

Lots of used sailboats in the Tampa Bay area. The sailing area
from Tampa Bay south to Marco Island is some of the best
to be found and remarkably uncrowded.

Enjoy shooting your icebox full of holes...
