Judith & Geoff,

If you look at the part, the swiveling exit block w/ cam, I think you'll
easily see how the lines run aft. The halyard runs through a block that
swivels just about 180 degrees. The blocks are installed at the sides
of the mast via tapped holes and bolts. Insofar as the P19 being larger
than the 15, my C250 is
much larger than the P19, and the setup works fine.

I agree with Geoff that binding of the slugs happens, and several others
have commented that silicone lube in the mast groove helps. I notice
that even on the P15 the slugs do not slide as smoothly as they did when
initially installed, and I intend to lubricate them. Even on the C250,
in which this setup was factory installed, a quick tug on the main
sometimes helps, but is rarely needed if the main is fully luffed. But
if there is much binding, I would suspect slug placement to be
critical. The slug binding problem remains regardless of the route of
the halyard away from the base of the mast, I would think.
