Ted,

I never needed a plug in the P-19 until I put 5 adults in the cockpit, and that coupled with some wave action dropped the transom low enough to have water come up through the cockpit drain. We either needed to lose weight or plug it, and since I had no wine aboard, I threw out my Mom and my Wife (just kidding, we all stayed and got our feet wet). I went to the Food Lion on the way home and bought a cheap rubber drain stopper for (I guess) a bathtub with a 1" drain. It's even white and matches the potter, and covers the top of the fitting as well, not to mention it works well to keep the water out.
