It sounds nice, but remember that any speed indicator that gives speed
in miles per hour will have to be converted to nautical miles per hour
(knots)to be really useful.

Has anyone tried the Teleflex "trolling speedometer" that West Marine
sells? It has a speed range of zero to 10 mph and costs $84.99. It's a
standard 2-1/8-inch gauge and comes with paddlewheel and cable.
