The previous owner of my P-19 bored through the hull and liner to mount the
through hull transducer . Has anyone tried a good slather of RTV to mount a
transducer to the inside of the hull <NOT the liner!>? Sticking two 'hard
plastic' pieces together with another 'hard plastic' is bound to present
problems unless all are extremely well matched for temperature
characteristics. Seems like I read somewhere that RTV could be used if
bubbles were avoided. Another method is the 'oil filled bubble approach' that
was discussed in another thread...
