Thanks for the explanation on "was a sailboat". Guess the
old addage applies --- When life gives you Lemons, Make
Lemonaid. I admire your approach to the problem.

We spent much time in our old Siren (5" draft) poking about
in the creeks and marshes of the Potomac south of Washington
DC and had a wonderful time watching eagles and other shore
life from the comfort of our little boat. Sometimes on slow
days I would put the sail up in the middle of a marsh just
to mistify the observers. We went places where only canoes
usually ventured and I even had a small electric motor
(smallest Minkota makes -- 16lbs) that we used to creep
around and not disturb the animals. We plan to do some of
the same when we get the 19 in the water in the spring when
the wind isn't to our liking. I can't think of a shallow
draft stink boat, ----er power boat, that has the creature
comforts of a microcruiser.
