Judith,
I sail mainly on the Tennessee River which has a fairly swift current =
running. Last time I went out I motored 3 hours upstream to visit some =
friends (no wind and plenty of curves (the river, not my friend)). The =
Nissan (Tohatsu) that came with my boat runs very good and made about 3 =
knots (GPS) against the current. I didnt order the external fuel tank =
but will convert to one this winter (hate to have to drop the hook just =
to refuel, and afraid to refuel while motor is running). =20
This is my first experience with an outboard of any size, but I am =
pleased with it's quiet operation and the fact that it starts every time =
on the first pull. I would say it has sufficient power for my needs.
