Many of my responses lately have been too curt and brief. I apologize =

Also wanted to mention that I also bought what UK calls the Stasher, =
which is a lot like a spinnaker sock. I hoist the stasher and then have =
another line that raises the stasher from the base to the peak allowing =
the spinnaker to open quickly from the foot up. Works really well and =
relieves the opportunity to catch a lot of wind on a broach or a jibe. =
I attached blocks to the stern cleats for the spinnaker sheets, but I =
agree that a whisker pole might be something good to have. For now my =
telescoping boathook is doing a pretty fair job.
