I asked that question of Scott when I called IM today about the biminis or
parts of biminis they were offering. Scott told me that IM P19 biminis were
3 bowed but they had already unloaded their entire supply. Being a good
businessman, he quickly offered to build me a new one at a discounted rate
of $275 plus $30 s&h. When I asked if it was mounted vertically to the
outside of the cockpit coaming, he told me it mounted horizontally to the
top of the cockpit coaming inside the cockpit rails and the boom cleared the
top. I wanted a height measurement in inches but my mind was still occupied
with the decision as to whether or not this was a deal too good to pass up,
so I blurted out that I would take one and proceeded with the transaction
without re-forming my question. I think I can cut out an inch or two from
the upright bows if it's too high. As best as I can reccollect, I am saving
about $25 over a 60"w x 34"h bimini from a discount marine house.
