On my P19 theres a padeye secured in the mast track, and another eye on the
boom, so the angle between the boom and the vang is a little less than 45
degrees. Judy posted a great discussion on the 'shippy' way of attaching a
vang, but IMHO thats only necessary for a heavy displacement cruiser. I
beleive our light potters would get knocked over long before the tension on
the vang would rip out an eye or bend a boom.
