I am a new potter 19 owner (a 1990, hull 621) and I am purchasing a motor
for the boat. I think I am going to get an Evinrude 5 or 6 hp four stroke.
The question I have is where do you put the gas tank? I note in the
literature for the new boats there is a compartment for this. Does it take
up quarter-birth space or do you build a box into the transom or below the
cockpit? Any info would be helpful. I would rather not have the tank on
the cockpit floor for obvious reasons (like space, space, and space).
Thanks to any and all who reply.
