Scott/Glen et al:

Is there a way to move P19 cabin mounted mast-support/compression post (CMP)
against daggerboard well? How about outboard towards fwd edges of bunk or
completely removing it? Any help you could provide in this direction would be
appreciated by all of us that would like to have some "fun" in that fwd
bunk... Give it a shot... Try to access that fwd bunk with post in place and
without post in place, you will notice big difference... Astounding! Yeah!

The daggerboard (db) is not a problem as it is far enough away from fwd bunk
that big feet can fit in between. Or db can be lowered and wiring stored out
of way making it either a table or another seat. However, CMP sits in middle
only few inches from fwd bunk making it difficult to use settee and/or access
fwd bunk. I have small feet but not small enough to squish fwd without major
contortions of all parts of body.

I have been toying with idea of moving CMP against db and placing an aluminum
or wood beam under mast crosswise (side to side) bolted against cabin top and
cabin outboard edges plus another beam from relocated CMP to cross beam...

Perhaps this could be something to think about if you modify/improve P19 cabin
in the future. It would surely enhance an already wonderful product. Or you
could offer it as an option in future models...

I love my P19 but am rapidly acquiring fatal attraction to that CMP. One of
this day's.... Kablooie! It's dead meat.
