I've had both. I prefered the Potter by far because it is lighter,
sails faster in lighter winds, is easier to launch, and easier to
retrieve.

The Com-Pac has more room inside, but only marginally. It is odd how
little room is in the Com-Pac and I think the cabin is a very poor
design, especially with the wooden bulkhead up front. The cabin height
ought to be higher for such a boat.
The quality of construction of the Com-Pac is outstanding, though. It
really exceeds the Potter.
