Uh-oh. I think you're _really_ asking for trouble if the keel is free to
move in the keel trunk while trailering. The implication is, of course,
that the lifting rig/cabintop is supporting the entire weight -- **not**
a good idea considering the force (=ma, etc) that is developed by
vertical acceleration while bumping down the road. Get at least half the
weight transferred to the keel trunk and you'll minimize this danger as
well as eliminating the fore/aft movement to which you allude.

Given my 25000+ miles of trailing Ursa Minor, I'm convinced that any
number of the bumps we've encountered would have cracked her like an egg
if the keel were free to move. It's an ugly world on the highways of
America!
