>From what I have read, I would not want to mess with a wind-generator if
I had my choice. They are noisy, break down, and I am not sure how you
would mount one on a Potter. In contrast, the solar panels just sit
(suction cups?) on an open spot on the deck, quietly providing power.
Depending on your loads, neither may provide enough power to keep the
battery topped off, but it will delay total discharge. I hope to do
this trip someday as well, but I would not want to be dependent on
battery power without a charging engine.
