Hi Ted,

I'd be curious to know what the measurements are for you Sailrite Lapper. I
contacted them about having them make sails and they sent me some measurements
that were not at all like the Jerry's IM lapper. The data in the sailmakers'
reference books is wrong for the P19 tall rig.

The measurements they proposed (vs. Jerry's) were:
Luff 14.46' (17.50)
foot 9.8' (8.42)
leech 11.98' (14.68)
LP 8.05' (6.85)
Area 58 (60)

I wonder if this accounts for the difference in handling. Did you mean that
the boat heads up or runs downwind? The Sailrite jib has a much lower center
of effort and it's further aft, which I think should give it less weather
helm. I'm assuming you have the tall rig, not the short rig.

Regards,
Judy B.
