Put up the mast for the first time this afternoon on P19 621. Seemed to go
smoothly. Do all the boats have two sets of mast stays? Ours does, so
sideways motion was reasonably limited. The backstay was a life saver. I
actually found all the hardwared. I lifed the mast while my 14 yr old
pulled on a line extending from the forestay. We found the most difficult
job tensioning the mast forestay. The 8 year old had to push on the mast
while the two of us pulled/screwed the mast into position. Needs a
turnbuckle for sure. Definitely not a one person exercise. It took us
about twenty minutes, not counting uncovering. Take down was relatively
simple. No injuries. Good to have several ties to use to handle the
shrouds. We even checked out the boom attachement. Seems like I have all
the sheets. So I think it will fly, Orville.

I got a new motor, now how to transport it? Any suggestions welcome.
