Bill, My backstay kit is the best way to go, my masthead piece is almost
identical to I.M's piece. They have been using my design for a few years now.
However the transom mounted chainplate is another matter. I.M.uses a
chainplate that goes in at the time of assembly. If you were to install this
on a already built boat it would be a real job. I designed my new chainplate
to install in a few minutes. I have been selling these kits for $45.00
delivered. The bad news is I don't have any more left, I sold the last one
today. I plan on getting some more material and building more, as soon as I
