After checking out a New P.19 last weekend it became clear that I.M.'s
instructions for rigging the mainsheet are wrong. Gary Zimmer rigged his new
boat as per instructions and he couldn't point worth beans. When the boat is
set up right you don't have to touch the mainsheet when tacking. You should
have a double block on the boom and a single block on the starbord side of the
transom. The port side should have a single block with a becket. The mainsheet
starts at the becket on the port side, goes through the boom and through the
starbord block. Then back up through the boom, through the port block and oner
to the mainsheet cleat. A proper mainsheet will have two lines on each side.
